product care

using all natural or raw materials often requires slightly different care from other textiles.

all of my children’s toys, whether made with cotton or wool, are stuffed with wool roving. if they get stained or dirty, I recommend gently hand-washing with a wool-safe soap, and gently pat and air dry (don’t wring them out or the wool will felt!).

for long term maintenance as a protection from possible moths, I recommend popping your wool and wool stuffed products in the freezer for a couple days a couple times a year.

wearables made with 100% cotton can be hand-washed and laid flat to dry. tumble drying may produce some shrinkage, as the yarn I use normally is not preshrunk.
